About Lundakarnevalen
Lundakarnevalen is a student carnival, arranged every forth year.
Lundakarnevalen is arranged by 5000 voluntary students and is a non-profit organisation. Lundakarnevalen is all about having fun, getting a break from the studies and entertaining people.
The carnival features an array of shows, games and other kinds of entertainment open to the public, as well as venues where you can eat and have a drink.
The Carnival is an old tradition in Lund, dating back to 1849, featuring a different theme for each carnivals, this year’s theme being Right and Wrong.

Tickets to the large Entertainments
Prices vary but most tickets will cost about 100 SEK. A performance lasts approximately 45 minutes.
A Smånöje / Tombola (smaller entertainment /raffle)
A smaller entertainment /raffle ticket cost between 5-30 SEK and takes anywhere from 10 seconds to 30 minutes.
10 cards Smånöje / Raffle is a clip card that can be used for both tents and Smånöjesentré and games in a tombola. Contribute to less cash during the carnival and purchase 10-card!
Carnival card
The carneval card contains a (1) drink, one (1) food and Three (3) games on Raffle alternative (3) entrances to the tent and Smånöjen and cost 150 SEK
Age Limits
<12 years, children’s ticket to the Elections Children <12 years, free admission to area
Children may sit on their laps during performances and do not need a ticket to the show. If the child will have his own place, air fares, regardless of age.

World Artists, which is currently being updated with a new European tour, offers an atmospheric Prime Gig at Sweden Lund carnival.
Amanda Jenssen – Friday 21 May, the Main Stage, Lundagård
Success continues and one of Sweden’s most popular artists do a solid summer tour of 25 cities on the agenda. Sweden premiere the 21 May in Lund in Lund carnival. Amanda Jens’s success in recent years has hardly been any past. She is a Grammy winner and gold sellers, crowd favorite and top seller, beautiful singing and talented, charismatic and with a barrel that many envy.
Name The Pet – Friday 21 May, Dance, AF Borgen
The Pet Name offers up to a kind of conspiracy between the best and found the pop danselectronican we know, so do not even stand still. In spring 2009 we were dancing to the single “Get On The Bus.” Embellished with summer sequel “Sunshine” and in November came at last the long awaited albumet.Huvudpersonen Brandén Hanna takes place in the spotlight as a homespun Lady Gaga, cocky and vulnerable at the same time.
Nottee – Friday 21 May, Dance, AF Borgen
Behind the artist name Nottee hidden musician, songwriter and singer Nova Drougge. Nottees infectious melodies and synth pop breathe both house and the west coast. She debuted as a solo artist last year, but also has a background as a bass player in the Lo-Fi-Fnk.
Hästpojken, Friday 21 May, the Main Stage
Gothenburg’s pride and one of the best pop band. In 2007 they released their first single, “Shane MacGowan” and his acclaimed 2008 debut album “Caligula”. In summer, they can be experienced live at several major festivals … First up is Lund carnival!
MA Numminen, Friday 21 May, the Main Stage
MA Numminen commits its world premiere at Lund carnival with their classic songs in the new garment. Do not miss Metalli-Numminen! Singing, dancing and rubber balls!
Simone Moreno, Saturday 22 May, the Main Stage
One of Brazil’s best voices come to Lund. Simone Moreno has released four albums in Brazil and one in Sweden. Her biggest hit is “Who pra bahia” (Let’s go to Malmö), which she wrote with Timbuktu. 2006 Simone Moreno participated in Melodifestivalen with the song Aiayeh (The Music Of The Samba). Enjoy a true carnival atmosphere with beats from Rio!
Edith Backlund, Saturday 22 May, the Main Stage
The artist behind the album “Death by Honey”. Legendary artist Neil Young is one of Edith’s admirers. Young put up her song “Rosie” on his website “Living with War”. The song was voted as one of the top ten anti-war songs.
Salem Al Fakir, Saturday 22 May, the Main Stage
King of Swedish pop and soul. Al Fakir is best known as a solo artist, in 2008, he won four Grammys on the Grammy Awards and appeared in the 2010 Eurovision song contest as a wild card, where his contribution, “Keep On Walking” finished in second place … Do not miss one of the most critically acclaimed artists!
Retro St. efson – Saturday 22 May, the Main Stage, Lundagård
Icelandic musical exports Retro Stefson with the energetic front man Manuel Unnsteinn’re Lund carnival. Icelandic, Portuguese and English in a wonderful mix. Bass, guitar, tambourine, maracass rhythms and lots of guarantees for a different musical experience.
Housewives – Saturday 22 May, Dance, AF-Borgen
Mega house, filthy beats and dirty dancing is promised in Berlin and Stockholm-based DJ duo Housewives offers up to dance. Housewives made up of the electro-acclaimed virtuosos La Fleur and Adeline Supreme. With a solid touring behind Housewives know what it takes to shake the life of any dance floor any time, regardless of which country they happen to find themselves in.
Jezebel Soundsystem Feat. Jade Jagger & Dan Williams – Saturday, May 22 Dance, AF-Borgen
International DJ duo that has played at some of Europe’s hottest clubs with her own Jezebel Soundsystem. Jade Jagger is a designer, top model and daughter of Mick and Bianca Jagger.

Gaby & the Guns, Sunday 23 May, the Main Stage
Praised, loved and talked about. Tjugohundranio walked Gaby & the Guns into the music scene and got rave reviews. The debut album “Back to Back “is a collection of original pop songs that make you laugh, cry, think, breathe and live. The music is often described as “people”, a mixture of pop, country, surf, and the French show. Always with the texts in the center. Gaby & the Guns has grown in the spring of twenty dog ratio and consists of Gaby Ryd (vocals piano), Jens Almqvist (bass, guitar), David Calgaro (guitar) and Fabian Lundblad Rice (drums). Gaby and Jens is precissom former band’s creative hub and songwriting, but with David and Fabian, the band has blossomed into a wilder, more beautiful and stronger experience.
Lisa Lövbrand, Sunday 23 May, the Main Stage
Västerbotten answer to Billie Holiday. Born in Wilhelmina, but resides in Los Angeles. Her album Embrace Able has brought international attention and Lisa Lövbrand has also managed to put together a collaboration with some of the world’s foremost jazz and funk musicians. Lisa is also an actress and has appeared in include “7 Seconds” with Wesley Snipes and “Attack Force” in which she plays a lead role to Steven Seagal.
Pauline, Sunday 23 May, the Main Stage
Pauline Kamusewu from Harare, Zimbabwe. In 2003 she was awarded Rockbjörnen for “Best Swedish newcomer” and has held numerous radio hits. On January 7, 2010 she was presented as the fifth joker in Melodifestivalen 2010th She took part in race 2 in Sandviken, February 13, 2010 and advanced to the second chance with the song “Sucker for Love.
Leningrad Cowboys, Sunday 23 May, the Main Stage
European premiere at Lund carnival when one of the most cult rock bands go out on tour. They have played at major festivals and has performed in a wide range of films, galas and television programs including MTV Music Awards. This is a unique event with rock humorists. On stage they appear in their distinctive hairstyles, mosquito destroyer and colorful costumes!
The machine – Sunday 23 May, Dance, AF-Borgen
The machine finally acclaimed release a new single and its long-awaited album. After extensive touring and gigs in eg U.S., Brazil and throughout the Nordic region is now more machine well lubricated and tuned than ever. The album, entitled “Boys II Men” is a full-length album with works from renowned producers such as Style Of Eye, EDU K, Filthy, Gorky (Bonde Do Rolê) and others.
The film
Lund carnival has been something of a pioneer in Swedish cinema. One of Sweden’s very first feature films, The Lion Hunt in 1908, was a carnival movie. Since then we have been able to see many masterpieces, was the last seal. The film will premiere in the spring during the classical Hollywood forms and displayed on a cinema in Lund weeks before Carnival and during the carnival days playing on the estate in their own salon. The film, together with carnival document a lovely memory of every carnival.
